One of my favourite things to do is to visit the local library. I love to browse the stacks, find new authors, or dig deeply into a topic I’m interested in.
Of course, you can also listen to music there, surf the net, take a documentary home on DVD, watch a movie or meet an author at a book reading.
The library also serves as a great meeting space for things going on in the community. Public meetings, book clubs, travel seminars.
Inevitably, spending time at the library introduces you to new things and new friends and creates a micro-community of like-minded people.
